Toothed Double Roll Crusher

APPLICATION

Smooth Double Roll Crusher is used for medium and fine crushing of soft to medium hard material like coal, fertilizer, chalk, clay, limestone, coke, glass etc. It can be also used for tertiary crushing of hard material like iron ore, refractory material. For better nipping of crushing material, the feed size is limited to 45150 mm(max).

OPERATING PRINCIPLE

Due to opposite in ward rotation of the rolls, the feed material is nipped between the rolls and crushed by compression. The movement of the floating roll is effected by turning a spindle or through hydraulic cylinders. To control the product size, the gap between the rolls is adjusted by threaded spindle (horizontal or vertical) or cylinders. When a piece of un-crushable material enters the crushing zone, the gap increases automatically by compressing the springs, thereby releasing the same and the floating roll comes back to its original position once the material is released. Smooth Roll Crusher is fed uniformly across the entire width by suitable feeder to achieve proper performance and uniform wearing of rolls to maintain consistency of product granulometry.

CONSTRUCTIONAL FEATURES:

It consists of two counter rotating rolls which are mounted horizontally on a rigid frame. The crushing area of the rolls are totally enclosed in a fabricated housing. One of the rolls is fixed in position while the other is a floating roll which can move relative to fixed roll to control product size and release un-crushable material by spring action. Both vertical spindle and horizontal spindle type gap adjustment system are available in MSEL range. In horizontal spindle system the roll shills horizontally during gap adjustment as well as spring actuation. In vertical spindle system the floating roll also moves horizontally being mounted on a spring loaded hinged “yoke beam”. The hinged yoke beam is supported on a set of Helical Coiled Spring having differential stiffness. The roll surface can be smooth or beaded depending on the type and size of the feed material. The crushing element is a single piece steel casting Roll mounted on taper hubs at both ends. Two rolls rotate in opposite direction by means of individual motor and vee belts with or without gear box. Smooth Roll Crusher can be provided with spring loaded roll scraper for removing sticky material from roll surface. Roll grinding arrangement can be supplied as an optional item for grinding the roll surface without removing the rolls from the crusher frame. Motorized or hand operated centralized grease lubrication system can be provided on request.

Reversible Hammer Mill

Application

A Hammer mill is employed where high reduction and small or finer particle size is required. Persistent is having a wide range of models of Reversible swing Hammer Mill suitable for various duty condition I.e. Primary, secondary and tertiary application. For heavy duty i.e. Primary and secondary application heavier duty Hammer Mills are used for crushing limestone, Dolomite, Clinker and similar medium hard material (up to moderately abrasive) mainly for cement plant requirement. High Speed light Hammer models are ideally suitable for One Coal crushing for Coke Oven and Lime Crushing for sinter plant.

Salient Features

It is consisting of housing with multiple section, 2Nos hinged grinding walls, rotor assembly with swing hammer mounted on arms or without arms and with or without grate ber(open bottom). The top housing can be swung out mechanically or hydraulically for ease of maintenance. The grinding walls each hinged at the top are provided with mechanical or hydraulic gap adjustment at the bottom to compensate wear loss. In grate bar design the lower half is provided with hinged grate bar with suitable opening while top half N provided with hinged grinding walls on both sides. Hammer and Grinding jibs are made of high quality alloy steel castings. Side liners are provided on exposed area. The drive system from motor is consisting of vee belt and jack shaft or directly though gear box and fluid coupling. Variable drive system is also mailable on request.

Open Bottom design is non clogging and clear out tramp iron instantaneously.
Separate Hammer tips on arm reduces spares cost substantially.
PHTC unique long arm design enables it to maintain consistency of product granulometry against wearing of hammers to great extent. Also long arm allows very closer setting for finer product out put.

Application:

Persisetent EK Series Impactor is a horizontal shaft, slow speed, non-reversible, fixed blade impact crusher. Because of its unique design configuration it is ideally suitable for fluidized Bed Boiler requiring coal size below 6mm with limited quantity of fines which is not possible to achieve from conventional Impactor or Ring Granulator. These impact crushers are also employed for sponge iron and washery application.

Operating Principle:

Feed material entering into feed end at the top gets shattered by the impact blows from rotating blow bars against the grinding wall. At the lower portion of the crushing chamber it is subjected to shearing and attrition to some extent producing finer product size with limited quantity of fines, thus, overcoming the limitation of a swing hammer mill and conventional impactor. Uniform feeding across the entire width at controlled rate by suitable feeding system is essential to ensure uniform wearing pattern and consistency of product granulometry.

Salient Features:

The performance-wise it is a crusher between a swing hammer mill and conventional impactor having a combination of few salient features of both type i.e. high reduction with limited fines. Persistent series impactor is ideally suitable for fluidized bed boiler as well as coal washery and sponge iron plant.

Constructional Features:

The housing is of multiple section with inspection doors and with upper portion hinged for opening(mechanically or hydraulically) to have easy access for maintenance. It has a one piece curved breaker wall(similar to Hammer mill) with grinding gibs of wear resistant cast material, hinged at the top and supported by spring loaded threaded spindle assembly at the bottom for gap adjustment and safety device against un-crushable. Rotor drum keyed to a robust shaft is fabrication from MS, adequately ribbed and fitted with 6 Nos. blow bars of wear resistant cast steel through counter shank bolts. Blow bars are reversible to compensate wearing. Open bottom deign avoids chocking. Drive transmission is through vee belts and flexible or fluid coupling from motor. Manual or centralized grease lubrication is provided. Water spray arrangement can be provided if needed.
